  1. Let’s get outside and enjoy some socially distance hiking! The plan is to meet at Tryon Creek State Park near the Glenn Jackson Shelter (just north of the Visitor Center). We will break into small groups and hike approximately 5 miles within the park. This hike can be used for a Second Class requirement for those that need it. Other scout requirements that can be meet during this hike include plant and animal identification as well as compass and map use.

Bring your 11 essentials (the regular 10 plus a face mask). Parents can drop scouts off at the park at 8:30 am and pick them up there at 12:30 pm. Alternatively, families are welcome to join us for a morning of hiking.
