The Troop will meet at St. Ignatius on Friday, May 24th at 5:00 PM to drive to camping near the Devil’s Lake Trailhead, 29 miles west of Bend just off Cascade Lakes Highway.

This is approximately a 10 mile route climbing just under 5,000 feet to top out at 10,358. Similar in total elevation gained to Mt. St. Helens, it’s about 2,000 feet taller. There will be multiple options for those that want to travel all or part of the way with different paces.

Fred Dreasher is the lead Scout for the trip, joined by Karl Hofmeister as adult lead.

This will be Troop cook in camp, however all climbers are responsible for their food on the trail in morning for breakfast and for all of Saturday May 25th. Please RSVP by Monday, May 20th.

The South Sister is a beautiful (though busy) climb. Any questions, please email karlhofmeister@gmail.com
