Don’t quite have enough of Mt. Hood after Cascade Adventure #4? The fix is in! 16 miles of flowy singletrack, from Timberline Lodge down to Rhododendron. The ride starts at about 6,000 feet and drops to about 1,800. Take a look at the link to the MTB Project trail overview for photos and elevation profile (https://www.mtbproject.com/
This is an intermediate trail, and you will want to have a mountain bike with knobby 2″ wide tires. Fully rigid bikes (no suspension), front suspension, or full suspension bikes are all fine. From experience, recommend against bringing a hybrid bike – there is a good bit of loose sand, roots and rocks in places.
If you don’t plan to join us but have a mountain bike you’d consider loaning, please let me know.
If you would like to go and need a bike, we have a Specialized 15″ front suspension bike we can loan out (the bike Reid had in Canada last year)
If you’d like a rental, here are some shops with bikes around $35 1/2 day for front suspension, $50 for full.
Please RSVP on the Troop351 website or email back to us directly by Friday, September 13th so that we can set plans accordingly. And reach out with any questions! My email is listed below (please avoid reply all to save inboxes).
Adults – would be great to have some joining us – that will also give us options to self-shuttle if we need to take time to pick up bikes, etc on the way.
